Join us in 2018
It’s here again, but Resus @ The Park is now Resus @ The Harbour. Local speakers, international experts, big SIM, cardiac arrest survivors and more. September 17-19th, ICC, Darling Harbour.
Resus @ the Park 2017, the only multidisciplinary NSW resuscitation conference, brought you sessions on sepsis, trauma, toxicology, chest pain and cardiac arrest; as well as expert masterclasses in ECG interpretation, paediatrics, and resus room practical skills.
International speakers such as Mel Herbert, Scott Weingart, Ben Abella, Tim Hardcastle and Mark Wilson talked to you live from the US, UK and South Africa, and you heard real cardiac arrest victims and their rescuers tell their amazing stories, and make it clear why we all do the job we do. In 2018, Resus is back and bigger than ever, but we are moving venues to help us to provide even more top-class resuscitation knowledge and training from national and international experts, as well as a comprehensive trade exhibition.

In 2018, we are bringing you Resus @ The Harbour.
R@TH 2018 will take place from 17-19 September at the International Convention Centre Sydney, encompassing skills workshops, innovation and invention in delivery, and a jam-packed program bringing you the best and brightest speakers in the resuscitation world. We will be calling for scientific abstracts from all clinical specialities, and running a resus competition to see how our sickest patients are really managed. All this with coverage and programming from Emergency Medicine Television (EMTV).
You’ll not only get a chance to hear fantastic speakers and top up your resuscitation knowledge and skills, but attending R@TH will ensure that you will be financially supporting Take Heart Australia, the only national charity founded and run by doctors, nurses and paramedics. With a vision to decrease cardiac arrest mortality from the current appalling Australian average of 90%, our mission is to rebrand cardiac arrest for 24 million people, facilitate CPR training for entire communities, and plan for AED networks everywhere across Australia. This is your charity, because we do the job every day!
Join us at R@TH 2018 to experience the biggest and best multidisciplinary resuscitation conference in NSW, and help us in our mission to save Australian lives.

Why are we here?
Take Heart Australia has a single mission……to dramatically increase the survival rate of Australians who suffer a sudden cardiac arrest.
In Australia, around 30,000 people suffer a sudden cardiac arrest each year; on average, only 9-10% of these people survive. These are the lucky few…lucky because when they collapse there has been someone nearby who knows how to help. But in a medically advanced country like Australia, luck is not an acceptable strategy!
We know that the best chance of surviving cardiac arrest occurs when a victim’s care begins immediately – in a community where defibrillators are widespread and accessible and citizens are trained and willing to provide CPR.
Take Heart Australia brings together experts from healthcare, academia, community, government and the private sector to form a powerful, effective, integrated approach to saving lives.
Our ultimate aim is to make it the norm – rather than the exception – to survive cardiac arrest
